Dr. Oz Makes Final Bid to Connect With Pennsylvania Voters
On Monday, October 7th, I sat down with Dr. James A. Johnson at the Dr. James A. Johnson Center for the Performing Arts to discuss the upcoming ballot measure to expand Medicaid coverage to 400,000 low-income Pennsylvanians.
As you will see, he had something interesting to say about the role of television in the upcoming election.

I do take some time to thank you for your patience—or your interest. There just are not enough hours in the day to get to all of your questions and concerns. And in this case, this is not only a personal interest of mine, it’s a personal interest of yours. Because you and many others across the country care about the health of your community, the health of your children, and the health of your grandchildren. That’s why I’m reaching out to you.

Chris: That’s great. I guess I’m the only one who has actually done it.
Dr. Johnson: Yeah. And it’s very special to have people like you… I mean, I’ll tell you, there were many times while I was on stage last night when you guys are going, “He’s like a walking talking machine and I’m getting the ‘I told you so’ from all of you.” When you were on stage last night, you were applauding every time I would say something like, “It’s not just the voters, it’s the parents, it’s the teachers, it’s the firefighters, it’s the people who keep our communities clean.”
